Wes Champion is senior vice president of Premier Performance Partners, with responsibility for all of Premier's improvement services to our members, including collaboratives, embedded partners, one-to-one advisory services, and our research and thought leadership.
One of the major goals of Premier Performance Partners is to provide wrap-around services and people to our major informatics products and to the group purchasing organization contracts to enhance the member value from these programs. In this role at Premier, Champion has led the increase in member enrollment to greater than 500 in the collaboratives, including QUEST®, Partnership for Care Transformation, Bundled Payment Collaborative, and CMS' Partnership for Patients initiative. He has also grown the one-to-one advisory services offered to our members in non-labor and labor expense reduction, quality improvement and planning/implementing change in care delivery models under healthcare reform.
Champion has approximately 22 years of experience in healthcare, primarily concentrating his efforts in leading large-scale organizational change that improves the quality, service, operational and financial performance of Premier members. With his financial and operational background, Champion also focuses on service line and strategic planning as well as financial services areas.
Prior to joining Premier, Champion was a partner with Accenture and CapGemini Ernst & Young and led their business transformation services nationally. Champion has also served as chief financial officer of a primary care network, ambulatory service division, and provider-sponsored health plan for an integrated delivery and financing system.
He has a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration from the College of Charleston. Champion has also passed the Certified Public Accountant exam and currently sits on the editorial board of Accountable Care News.
